What Used Phone Check does

DeviceAid connects current tools in a guided manual checklist. You perform each step and assess the result yourself. It creates no automatic condition score, purchase certificate, or guarantee that the device has no defects.

Preparation

Allow enough time, use a calm environment, and obtain the owner’s permission. Do not inspect under pressure. Personal accounts and data do not belong in a DeviceAid check.

Guided local checks

Speaker: Listen to Low, Mid, High, Voice-like, and Crackle samples at a comfortable volume.
Microphone: Record briefly on the device, play it back, and assess it yourself. Disconnect Bluetooth headphones.
Pixels and artifacts: Observe solid colours and full-screen patterns.
Touch grid: Slowly touch the entire usable area.
Multitouch: Display simultaneous touches without expecting one count across all models.
Haptics: Feel individual patterns and short comparison or notification sequences.
Screen Light, optional: Check the local light surface in a suitable environment.
Level and motion: Start tilt, rotation, or level yourself and interpret neutral feedback cautiously.

Also verify outside the app

Check proof of purchase, ownership, activation lock, return options, visible condition, and device information supplied by the operating system. DeviceAid does not read internal component records and does not replace professional inspection.

Purchase decision

An unremarkable run cannot rule out hidden, intermittent, or later issues. Use buyer protection and have unusual devices inspected professionally.
