Local core checks, transparent services

DeviceAid operates no proprietary test-data servers, user analytics, or account. Free may still use Google advertising; Apple handles purchases.

Four separate areas

DeviceAid core

Manual tests, temporary microphone audio, Core Motion, and local settings run in the app context. There is no proprietary cloud or telemetry.

Google in Free

Depending on region, consent, and configuration, AdMob and UMP may process data for consent, ads, security, fraud prevention, and measurement.

Apple for purchases

StoreKit and App Store process payment, purchase history, and Apple Account association. DeviceAid receives verified entitlement, not bank details.

Website and support

The static site sets no tracking cookies itself. Hosting logs and email support are separate processing activities.

Your local data controls

You can remove temporary microphone files, local UI settings, AppStorage or UserDefaults values, upgrade-reminder timestamps, and controllable caches.

This does not remove Apple purchase history, an active subscription, Apple Account data, system permissions, data outside the app container, or Google consent data outside official UMP options. Uninstalling or deleting local data does not cancel an Apple subscription.

Consent and ATT

UMP updates consent status at launch. Ads load only when canRequestAds is true. An error does not block core functions. DeviceAid currently does not request App Tracking Transparency permission. If advertising configuration changes, the website, policy, and App Store disclosures will be updated.
