Help with DeviceAid

Short answers for local tests, privacy, and the planned yearly Pro access.

Before a test

Update iOS, fully close the app if necessary, and reopen it. Disconnect Bluetooth headphones for speaker and microphone tests. DeviceAid runs only on iPhone and has no remote hardware access.

Water Eject and a wet iPhone

Point the speaker down and use a comfortable volume. Stop immediately if sound is uncomfortable. Results vary. Do not charge while liquid in the connector is suspected, and do not use rice. Seek professional service when uncertain.

Microphone and motion

Allow microphone access only for the test you start. The short recording stays local and is removed on exit or through Data Management. Level and Motion requires user action, stops in the background, and provides no definitive defect diagnosis.

Manage local data

Data Management removes controllable temporary files, local settings, reminder timestamps, and caches. It does not remove Apple purchase history, an active subscription, system permissions, or data outside the app container. Uninstallation does not cancel an Apple subscription.

Restore or manage Pro

After release, use Restore Purchases while signed in to the same Apple Account. Cancellation and management take place in Apple subscription settings. DeviceAid stores no bank or credit-card details.
