Frequently asked questions

Clear answers about features, data, advertising, and the planned yearly subscription.

Does DeviceAid diagnose my iPhone automatically?

No. You start local tools, observe the result, and assess it yourself. DeviceAid is not a certified diagnosis and provides no repair guarantee.

Which tools are currently included?

Quick Rescue, Water Eject, Wet Phone Guide, Speaker Test, Microphone Test, Dead Pixel Test, Display Artifact Test, Screen Light, Touch Grid Test, Multitouch Test, Haptic Test, Level and Motion, and Used Phone Check.

Are tools locked behind Pro?

No. All current tools, guided checks, and safety information are usable in Free. Pro primarily removes advertising.

How much is Pro?

€3.99 per year is intended for the German storefront. Apple displays the final price before purchase; it may vary by country, storefront, currency, and tax. The product is not publicly linked yet.

How does auto-renewal work?

Payment uses your Apple Account. The yearly subscription renews unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Manage and cancel it in Apple subscription settings.

Does Free display ads?

Free may show Google ads depending on region, Google configuration, consent, and privacy status. Core functions remain available when ad requests are not permitted.

Does DeviceAid request ATT?

Not currently. If advertising configuration changes, the app, website, policy, and App Store disclosures will be updated.

Does everything stay on the device?

Core checks and test results are not sent to DeviceAid servers. Google may process advertising and consent data in Free, Apple processes purchases, hosting may create server logs, and support email uses an email provider.

Can Water Eject safely remove all water?

No. Local sound patterns may help move water from the speaker area; results vary. Do not intentionally wet the device, do not charge a connector that may contain liquid, and stop uncomfortable sound immediately.

Does uninstalling cancel my subscription?

No. Uninstalling and local data removal do not cancel an Apple subscription. Use Apple subscription settings.
